Ridge’s contributions to the company helped build its flagship local media practice
MINNEAPOLIS, December 20, 2019 – Steve Ridge announced today that he will retire as Senior Advisor at Magid, following a storied 30-plus year career at the company.
Ridge started at Magid in 1983 and held various positions in the local media practice before ultimately being named Chief Operations Officer and Head of Local Media. During his time with the company, he directed talent, content and pioneering innovations in delivery – from the days of in-person quantitative surveys and telephone surveying to Magid’s expansion into other industries. Ridge transitioned to a Senior Advisor role earlier this year before deciding to retire at the end of 2019.
“We’re very grateful to Steve for his many accomplishments over the years on behalf of Magid. The success of our local media practice is credited to the hard work and dedication from Steve and the talented team he helped develop into what it is today,” said Brent Magid, President and CEO of Magid. “We wish him well in his much-deserved retirement.”
Magid recently announced that Jaime Spencer has been named Executive Vice President and Head of Local Media, succeeding Ridge.
“I’m incredibly proud to have witnessed the growth of Magid throughout the years, and I look forward to seeing what’s next for this tremendous team as they continue to live out the legacy this company was built on while looking forward to the future,” said Ridge.
