“Jeopardy” Slips After Schneider Swan Song

Review based on a national syndicated rating report for the week ending January 30, 2022.

Game show leader Jeopardy (6.5 live plus same day national Nielsen rating, down 2% from the week before) lost a bit of its buzz after a shocking mid-week loss for champion contestant Amy Schneider in the session ending January 30.

Family Feud (6.0, up 3%) moved up, while Wheel of Fortune (5.7, down 5%) slowed.

In daytime, Judge Judy (5.1, up 4%) ruled the court shows for the 1,323rd week in a row.

Dr. Phil (1.9, up 6%) topped the talkers for a fourth straight week. Live with Kelly and Ryan (1.8, up 6%) snared second, matching its season high.

Kelly Clarkson (season high 1.0, steady) cruised into third place, tying Ellen DeGeneres (1.0, down 9%).

Other strong performers in the top ten sustaining their best ratings of the season included Tamron Hall (0.7, steady) and sophomore Drew Barrymore (0.6, steady).

Access Hollywood (0.8, steady) hammered out a 33% increase in the advertiser-coveted W25-54 age group and was the only major magazine to hold its ground in households.
