“Tamron” and “Rachael” Race to New Highs Despite Olympic Competition

Review based on a national syndicated rating report for the week ending February 6, 2022.

Tamron Hall (up 50% week to week in the W25-54 target demo and new season high 0.8 live plus same day national Nielsen in households, up 14% from the week before) and Rachael Ray (new season high 0.9, up 13%) were the only two of the 15 talk shows able to move up amid the onset of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in the session ending February 6.

For example, newcomer The Good Dish (0.4, down 20%) cooled off in its third week on the air.

Live with Kelly and Ryan (1.8, steady) remained at its best rating of the year and finished in a dead heat with Dr. Phil (1.8, down 5%) at the top of the genre.

Two of the traditional entertainment magazines managed to strike ratings gold in the face of Olympic competition. Entertainment Tonight (three-week high 2.3, up 10%) and Extra (season high 0.7, up 17%) were standouts.

Among the seven nationally syndicated court shows Judge Judy (three-week high 5.3, up 4%) finished first for the 1,324th consecutive week.
