Most Talkers Move Up

The top ten talkers were all steady to higher in the session ending June 12 with Dr. Phil (1.5 live plus same day national Nielsen rating, up 7% from the week before) jumping into a first place tie with Live with Kelly and Ryan (1.5, steady), which was previously the sole leader.

Next in line Kelly Clarkson (0.9, up 13%) – which won five Emmys at Saturday’s 49th Annual Creative Arts and Lifestyle Awards —  had the strongest year over year increase of the top three, advancing 13% from the comparable week one year ago.

Other closely watched majors on the move included Tamron Hall (0.7, up 17%) which forged ahead 50% in the advertiser-coveted W25-54 demographic.

Rachael Ray (0.7, up 17%) also headed higher in households.

From an annual perspective, the fastest growing talk show was Drew Barrymore (0.5, up 25% year over year). Barrymore was also showered with multiple honors as syndicated television’s second biggest winner at Saturday’s Daytime Emmy Awards.

Judge Judy (five-week high 4.6, up 10%) remained the overall queen of daytime, ruling the court shows for the 1,342nd week in a row. “Judy” also had the honor of being syndication’s third highest rated show overall.

In access time periods Jeopardy (5.2, up 8%) and Family Feud (5.1, up 4%) led the gamers.
