“Family Feud” Finally Foils “Jeopardy”

“Family Feud” Finally Foils “Jeopardy”

Family Feud (4.9 live plus same day national Nielsen rating, down 2% from the week before) topped the game shows and all of syndication in the holiday week session ending June 5. That was just enough to unseat Jeopardy (4.8, down 8%), which had maintained a stranglehold on first place for the previous nine weeks.

Live with Kelly and Ryan (1.5, down 6%) was No. 1 among talk shows for the second week in row. Dr. Phil (1.4, down 7%) came in a close second even though it was in repeats for almost the entire week.

Encore episodes of Drew Barrymore (0.5, up 25% from last year at this time), which was recently renewed, was the only talker in the top ten showing growth from the same week in 2021.

Not surprisingly Ellen DeGeneres (new season low 0.7, down 46% from the week before) dropped sharply after going out of original production.

The winner of the magazine race — with more than 3.0-million daily viewers — was Entertainment Tonight (2.0, steady), which was the only show in the genre moving up from last year (up 5%). Inside Edition (1.9, down 5% from the week before) was next in line.
