Former Telemundo Executive Producer Desirée Colomina Joins Magid as Senior Consultant, Local Media

NEW YORK, January 20, 2021 – Magid announces the hiring of Desirée Colomina as Senior Consultant, Local Media. Colomina, an award-winning journalist and executive producer, joined the company on January 6, 2022, bringing expertise in broadcast media, journalism, and Spanish-language television to her role.

Colomina joins Magid from Telemundo, where she was most recently Executive Producer of the morning show “hoy Día.” She began her career as a segment producer for Al Rojo Vivo, Telemundo’s afternoon newsmagazine. She was later promoted to assignment manager and subsequently to on-air reporter and director of special projects for Telemundo network news. In that role, she was responsible for specials, investigative shows and breaking news.

Colomina also previously served as the director of FIFA programming and directed many of Telemundo’s special news programming. In 2012, she worked on the launch of the XFINITY Latino channel, a Comcast platform to promote Hispanic content, overseeing production of the channel until early 2016.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communication from Barry University.
