TEGNA’s top sales pro in Tampa now at Magid

A consumer-centered business strategy company “delivering courageous thinking that shapes better experiences, products and services” recently plucked the Director of Sales for TEGNA‘s Tampa-St. Petersburg TV station as its new VP of its Media Strategy Group.

CBS affiliate WTSP-10 in Tampa Bay has seen Brian Ahladas serve as its Director of Sales since March 2018 and, for 15 months before that, as a Regional Sales Director for TEGNA’s Premion, where he was responsible for sales of their OTT video advertising network to regional and national advertising clients.

Now, he’s at Magid, where he’s been actively settling into his new role since mid-January. Magid announced his arrival late last week.

Ahladas’ resume includes a stint as GSM under former owner Raycom Media of WWBT-12 in Richmond, now owned by Gray Television. From February 2010-July 2011, he was GSM of Gray’s WCAV-19, WVAW-LD 16 and WAHU-LD 27 in Charlottesville, Va.

As RBR+TVBR reported March 4, Gray is selling these stations to Lockwood Broadcasting.

“Brian’s background and skill set are a perfect match for the next evolution of our products and services for our local media clients,” said Bill Hague, Executive Vice President, Magid. “With his addition to our team of experts, the growth of our revenue strategy practice, as well as our work within the OTT space, will rapidly accelerate.”
