Syndication’s only top shelf strip coming up big in the otherwise low-rated holiday session ending Nov 27 was Tamron Hall (new season high 0.8 live plus same day national Nielsen rating, up 14% from the week before and up 33% from last year at this time).
The hit program’s episode harvesting the most households of the week was its November 21st daytime TV exclusive interview with former first lady Michelle Obama on November 21.
World Cup soccer on all five weekdays scored a near syndie knockout, slamming shows in a preemption-filled Thanksgiving and Black Friday session in which almost everything in first run went down.
Jeopardy (new season low 4.5, down 26%) had the climactic conclusion to its annual Tournament of Champions, but took a steep dive anyway. Wheel of Fortune (new season low 4.1, down 24%) went off the rails and Family Feud (new season low 4.1, down 18%) flopped.
