Magid names Marissa Nelson Senior Consultant, Local Media

MINNEAPOLIS, June 25, 2020 – Magid announces the hiring of Marissa Nelson as Senior Consultant, Local Media. Nelson joins Magid on July 13, 2020, following nearly 10 years with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and various leadership roles in television, radio, digital and newspaper organizations.

Nelson most recently served as Senior Managing Director for CBC, Local, where she was responsible for overseeing all TV, radio and digital operations for 8 local stations, including the largest market in Canada (Toronto) and the nation’s capital (Ottawa). Her accomplishments there include growing audiences to all-time highs and launching new multiplatform stations in new markets from the ground up. Prior to her role in local media, Marissa led all digital news efforts across the network for CBC.
