Magid knows games as a relationship » community 

From macro communities on Reddit to micro communities made up of your IRL (or not) friends, gaming is heavily influenced by how players engage with others, inside and outside of the game itself.

New Magid data shows that 43% of live service players cite genre as the top reason they started playing their favorite game, while 42% say it’s because their friends were talking about it or playing it.
