Gaining new SVOD subscribers and AVOD users is challenging enough, but in an environment where almost 25% of viewers declare an intent to drop a service after watching a favorite series, user retention is critical – to both the services themselves and, increasingly, to advertisers leveraging AVOD platforms. While original content has proven to be a major factor for both user growth and retention, there are many other factors that impact the decision to retain a service and to keep using it.
