Judge Judy overrules Jeopardy to lead syndication
Review based on a national syndicated rating report for the week ending November 22, 2020.
The 25th and final season in first-run for syndication sensation Judge Judy (new season high 6.1 live plus same day national Nielsen rating, up 3% from the week before) continues to be a winning one.
The popular courtroom program, which has been the top-rated first-run show for the past 11 years, scored its biggest numbers since May and overtook Jeopardy (5.9, down 2%) to top the syndication chart in the session ending November 22. The long-running game show had shot to first place in the previous week following the death of its beloved host Alex Trebek on November 8.
Family Feud (5.7, up 2%) captured third place overall.
Dr. Phil (2.0, steady) remained at its season high and was the No. 1 talk show for the 203rd time in the past 220 weeks. Live with Kelly and Ryan (1.9, down 5%) was not far behind.
The race for third place in talk was a close one with Ellen DeGeneres (1.1, down 8%) being challenged by sophomore star Kelly Clarkson (1.0, steady), which matched its season high.
Next in line were Wendy Williams (0.9, down 10%), conflict talker Maury (0.9, down 10%) and Rachael Ray (0.9, unchanged), which were all tightly bunched.
