Some Syndies Recover in Second Olympic Week

Although most shows were stagnant against week two of the Tokyo Olympics, a handful of strips managed to rally in the session ending August 8.

The closely-watched Jeopardy-OLYM (4.5 live plus same day national Nielsen rating, up 2% from the week before) ticked up with financial journalist David Faber taking over from actor LeVar Burton at the podium.

In daytime LIVE-OLYMPICS 2021 (the re-titled Live with Kelly and Ryan — 1.6, up 14%) torched the talk shows for a 13th straight week.

Dr Phil-OLYM (1.3, up 8%) took silver in the category even though it was in repeats all week.

Also making a notable upward move was Tamron-OLYMPICS 2021 (0.6, up 20%) as the sophomore talker tallied a double digit advance and averaged more than 800,000 viewers each day despite being almost entirely in reruns.

Judge Judy-OLYM (4.3, steady) had no trouble crushing the court shows for a remarkable 1,298th consecutive week.
