Debby Ruth, Senior Vice President of Global Media & Entertainment,
moderates OTT, VOD, and Non-Linear TV Advertising panel
NEW YORK, March 19, 2018–Magid, a research-based consultancy, announces that Debby Ruth, Senior Vice President of Global Media & Entertainment, will moderate a panel at the Advanced Advertising Summit titled, “OTT, VOD, and Non-Linear TV Advertising”.
The panel considers the shifts of TV consumption from linear audiences to “alternative” non-linear methods. “[The] panel of experts discuss the challenges and opportunities of advertising in the face of this (forever?) changed consumer dynamic.”
Chris Pizzurro, Head of Sales & Marketing – Canoe Ventures
Jim Wilson, President – Premion
Peentoo Patel, Product Manager, DFP Video – Google
Rob Weisbord, Chief Revenue Officer – Sinclair
Mike Lawlor, SVP Client Services – FreeWheel
“While sports and live events still command sizable linear audiences, the majority of “television” viewing in the US is now comprised of a collective of formerly “alternative” non-linear methods of consumption such as time-shifted DVR, cable VOD, over-the-top streaming, and via digital/mobile devices. What former Discovery Networks founder John Hendricks presaged in 2003 as “file-served television” is now mainstream viewing behavior – traditional TV business models be damned.”
The panel takes place during the Advanced Advertising Summit.
