Magid knows games as a relationship » toxicity

Community is a crucial element of any game and just as the world around us, the gaming community is not always perfect. Toxicity within a game or its community can negatively impact the gamer’s experience.

As a strategy against toxicity, women and non-binary gamers are more likely to move around gaming communities in small groups rather than on their own. This means that they are more likely to leave a game when their friends do – in fact, women are 37% more likely than men to cite friends leaving as their top reason for leaving a game.
