“Jeopardy” slips 6% in first week without Alex Trebek, but still leads syndication

In its first week without the beloved Alex Trebek, Jeopardy (6.2 live plus same day national Nielsen rating, down 6% from the week before) lost some altitude with champion contestant Ken Jennings as guest host, but still clocked a lofty number and led all syndicated shows.
Wheel of Fortune (5.8, down 3%), which is paired with “Jeopardy” in most major markets, and Family Feud (5.4, up 6%) were next in line among the quiz and giveaway programs.
Courtroom champ Judge Judy (5.4, down 4%) ran into preemptions for the Congressional debate on President Trump’s impeachment, but was easily No. 1 in all of daytime.
“Judy” also continues to out-rate all of syndication for the entire season to date in this its 25th and final year in first-run.
Elsewhere in the daypart, Live with Kelly and Ryan (1.8, down 10%) and Dr. Phil (1.8, steady) tied at the top of the talkers.
Kelly Clarkson (1.0, steady) was the third highest talk show for the fifth time in six weeks, tying Maury (1.0, unchanged) and Ellen DeGeneres (1.0, up 11%).
